While my wife and I were traveling to Chicago during a snowstorm in December 2022, we stayed here for a night. Before we arrived, they called a couple of times to check that we were okay. Lovely place and lovely people!

This place is like staying in a museum, Americana galore. Walk around to each room and take pictures. The hosts are hospitable, the location is convenient, and breakfast brings together a varied group of guests. It's pet friendly, too. The house cat and I have reached an understanding about boundaries.

Karl and Mary were very kind and cooked a really good breakfast. The house is almost as old as the state I live in, and the stay was incredibly cute. I'll choose them again the next time I come back to town.

We enjoyed our second visit in five years. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was hot, breakfast was yummy, and we had a good conversation with our hosts.

The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the property is beautiful, with big oak trees all around. Deer and turkeys come right up to the place. Breakfasts were delicious, and we loved hearing all kinds of stories from the great hosts, Karl and Mary. Such an authentic place, full of character. We'll definitely stay with them again!
