Hampton Inn Muskogee

The staff were all friendly, but the condition of the room was pretty disgusting. There was what looked like leftover puke on the back of the toilet, little hairs everywhere, and stains on the sheets, pillowcases, and towels. The towels were very worn, and so was the bed. The bedding smelled strange, clean but not in a good way. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular from a three-star hotel, but I was really disappointed, especially from a Hilton. After this experience, I won't be back to another Hampton.

Both the front desk and cleaning staff were awesome, and they paid close attention to what we needed during our stay. I really enjoyed being here and am looking forward to coming back.

The room had several things that seemed to be in disrepair. Its sliding bathroom door doubled as a closet door, which already felt odd because it wouldn't latch like a regular bathroom door. Ours was broken too, so it wouldn't slide properly and left the bathroom half open while in use. The room door also wouldn't latch by itself, so each time we had to remember to push or pull it shut. The outlets were loose or didn't work at all, and a phone charger would fall right out of the wall. The outlets by the bed were dead, so we had to charge our phones across the room overnight. The place was clean, service was fine, and everyone was nice. I've always liked Hampton and usually try to stay at one when I pick a hotel.

We stopped here on our way out West. It's in a convenient, quiet area, and safety wasn't a concern. The people at the desk were nice, and we had the pool to ourselves, which we enjoyed. The room was okay, though the carpet was looking pretty worn (see pic). I also appreciate an adult-height commode, so kudos for the one in the King.
