Towneplace Suites By Marriott Nampa

Breakfast was really good, and the room has nice amenities and is in a great location for a longer stay. I was there by myself and would stay again, but the cleanliness wasn't pleasant. The kitchen walls had food splattered on them, the room clearly hadn't been dusted in a while, and there was hair in the shower. The microwave needed cleaning too, and one pot I looked at was shabby. I didn't cook there. I picked up some wipes at WinCo, which was an easy walk.

The only thing that bothered me was all the little lights in the room, from the thermostat, microwave, and other things. Otherwise it was comfortable and quiet, and the rooms were lovely. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The woman who handled breakfast especially made me feel at home. I wish I'd caught her name.

The pool, hot tub, and workout room were really nice. The rooms had well-stocked kitchens with cooking supplies, and breakfast in the morning had everything you need. Very clean, nice hotel.

The staff were fantastic, and those Halloween touches made our holiday stay feel homey. They were allowed to decorate pumpkins and dress up, and even handed out goodie bags. Whoever hired this team did a great job. I stay at Marriotts around 150 nights a year, so I've seen a lot of them. The location is great, close to Walmart, Starbucks, Chipotle, Freddy’s, and plenty of other places to eat. The chemical plants nearby do make the outside air quality pretty bad. The room made it hard to sleep. You can't open the window without a piercing wind noise rushing in. I closed it because of the air quality, and even with the TV on, the sound with the window cracked was painful. There's also too much light from everything: the microwave, thermostat whenever you move, under the door, and even the fire alarm above the bed. A previous guest had covered that one with a soap bottle sticker. I used sticky notes and a towel to block the other lights. Whoever designed the room clearly hadn't slept in one. I can deal with thin walls, but not light pollution like this. I hope Marriott sees this review. The pool was clean but poorly ventilated. The hot tub was nearly boiling and had a broken jet, though it was still nice to use. It needs better ventilation.
