We had a pleasant, family-like feeling from the innkeepers, despite only interacting with them a little. I especially liked having a separate sitting room to relax in, along with the spacious bedroom and private bath. We were in first-floor, roadside Room 1, so there was some traffic noise in the morning. The rooms are exceptionally large for Nantucket, with a full living room area. There are relaxing spots upstairs and outside, and it’s right in the middle of town, close to everything downtown. The Cisco brewery shuttle is on the same street, too. A heads-up that there’s no water or coffee, which is already mentioned in reviews. I understand the reason, since the island is very anti-plastic and they don’t need to add to it, so plan ahead. Still, this is my favorite place to stay on the island. I don't want anyone else to know about it so it will always be available when we want it! Please do come and enjoy the place, but leave room for my yearly visit. A must stay!

I've stayed here many times and would definitely recommend it. The innkeepers are welcoming and accommodating, and the rooms are spacious and clean. I do miss having coffee in the morning, but it's just a step away because the inn is centrally located.

Everything about this house felt PERFECT, especially the atmosphere and location. It's the most beautiful place I've ever stayed. I'm sad I can't live here! Highly recommend, and please treat the place with respect.

Ian was a gem, and the room had some thoughtful extras: wine glasses and a corkscrew, a fan, and a small refrigerator. The historic downtown location is absolutely perfect if that's where you'll spend most of your time. Wave was a three-minute walk away, with restaurants and bars just steps from the door. The building and decor are eclectic, like a museum of its own, with original art including handmade rugs. The room itself was perfect, with a comfortable mattress and an updated bathroom, and it was clean everywhere, even in all the nooks and crannies. My only suggestion is to put water in each room and offer coffee in the morning. I'll stay here again on my next Nantucket trip.

The staff responded VERY quickly whenever we needed something, and we were delighted with the experience. Beach blankets, umbrellas, and chairs are available for guests. Our suite was clean and nicely quaint, with extra sitting areas and another bathroom in the hall. The spot is hard to beat: right in the Historic District, but far enough off the main streets to stay quiet at night.
