R Inn Napa

I keep coming back, and this has become my go-to place in Napa. The staff are welcoming every time, and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. It’s only a couple of blocks from downtown, so restaurants, tasting rooms, and shops are easy to reach on foot. During this stay the winter air was pleasantly crisp, and exploring Napa was especially enjoyable. The Christmas decorations around the property looked extra beautiful, with warm, festive touches. I highly recommend it!

The spacious room felt a little bare, with too little storage. Since there was so much extra space, I would’ve liked a small fridge for the water and wine we’d brought on our trip. I didn’t want to leave expensive wine in the communal fridges in case it got mixed up. Check-in was a bit of a pain, too, and I’d seen that we were supposed to get a bottle of wine on arrival, which didn’t happen. Even so, we had a really lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. The property is stunning, with beautifully done common areas and outdoor spaces that made it feel relaxing. We loved sitting outside with wine in the evenings. Breakfast items and snacks were great and thoughtfully laid out, adding a homely feel. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Napa, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the bars, shops, and restaurants.

Sean’s hospitality made our visit stand out. He was gracious, kind, and attentive to our comfort, checking in, sharing local insights, and offering recommendations. His thoughtful touches made us feel like cherished guests. R Inn Napa is in the heart of downtown, a great base for exploring the city. The stylish rooms, inviting courtyards, and lounges all show a level of care and detail that surprised me for a small independent hotel. This inn captures the spirit of Napa Valley, and the location and warm hospitality will stay with us long after checkout. We can’t recommend it enough.

The beds were so comfortable I didn’t want to get up in the morning, and the room had thoughtful touches throughout, from the cozy lighting to the well-stocked amenities. I also have to mention the coffee machine. It was hands down the best I’ve used in a hotel, and made mornings feel like a little luxury ritual. They surprised me with a complimentary bottle of wine after a long travel day, which was such a kind gesture. The R Inn Napa is beautifully designed and wonderfully quiet, a peaceful hidden gem in downtown Napa. I absolutely loved my stay and can’t wait to return.
