Comfort Inn Downtown Nashville - Music City Center

There’s a lot to do nearby, with restaurants and entertainment within walking distance, and the area has a great vibe. The location is excellent. The breakfast was decent, and our room was quiet at night. The beds were clean, the bathroom was bright and clean, and the toilet seemed to struggle to flush. The carpet sometimes felt sticky. The room was small and cramped, and the whole place felt run down, more like a motel than a hotel. The queen beds were so small I felt like I could roll off. The outlets were loose, including the ones on the lamps where plugs wouldn’t stay in. The wall outlet was falling out, and both problems felt like fire hazards. There was also a gap under the exterior door, so I put my 50lb suitcase in front of it for extra security. I saw a homeless man wandering the parking lot when we went to breakfast. The night staff member seemed like he was just there and didn’t care. Both my wife’s and my debit cards were declined, even though I’d used mine earlier that day, had plenty of funds, and paid at a restaurant after checking in with a different card. The staff basically shrugged. The price they quoted wasn’t what we paid because they added $30 for parking. There weren’t any nearby ramps where we could park instead, so it felt like a money grab. At least breakfast was free.

The location was easy to walk from to downtown, shops, and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and informative, and our car was perfectly safe. Before we checked in, a few guests told us their cars had been broken into the previous night and the hotel didn’t want to help. Staff told me police had been notified and given surveillance footage. Someone was also conveniently offering window repairs, which made me wonder if they might have been the culprit. I understand these things can happen anywhere. The room cleanliness was below par: hair on the beds, stained sheets, cans left by previous guests, and a pimple patch on the wall. The ceiling was peeling and needs maintenance. On the plus side, breakfast was a surprise, with lots of options, including waffles, biscuits and gravy, and an omelette station. I’d stay again, but I’d make sure to get a clean room next time.

A good value in Nashville, about a 15 min walk to Broadway. The return is uphill, but it’s manageable if you’re able bodied. I’m not fit at all and didn’t struggle. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of choices, including freshly cooked omelettes and eggs.

The rooms were immaculate and comfortable, and I felt very safe there. It was a great overnight stay for a visit to Broadway, with easy access to it. I marked it down only because the front desk staff seemed very rude and breakfast didn’t have much choice.
