The Ivory Room had plenty of space, including a roomy bathroom. There were nice extras like a huge walk-in closet, fridge, light snacks, and a few welcome gifts. The house also has porches and other rooms where you can relax. This historic B&B sits downtown, with easy street parking, and I think there’s parking in back too. Shops and restaurants are walkable. Our host was kind and helpful. The breakfast voucher was for a restaurant half a block down the street, where the server was very friendly and polite and there were lots of food choices.

Dr Turk was a warm, charming host. We had a comfortable bed and a very clean bathroom, and enjoyed looking at all the interesting antiques. Stanton Hall is just half a block away. We walked to dinner, a nearby place for breakfast, and down to the river. There’s private parking behind the house on Pearl Street, and we could also use the library next door and the second-floor porch, though we didn’t get around to either.

Dr Turk, the owner, is an amazing person and a truly exceptional host. I have nothing but respect for him. Rising Sun is within walking distance of downtown nightlife, Natchez Under the Hill, restaurants, and shops. If you’re planning a trip to Natchez, I highly recommend booking here. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. I don’t think there’s a better B&B or hotel for a Natchez stay.

The Rising Sun was a wonderful first stay in Natchez for my wife and me. It’s an extremely clean, beautiful historic home, with gorgeous architecture and really neat decor featuring historic details and stories. A wonderful experience all around.

We had a great weekend getaway. The place is amazing, right in the heart of the Natchez historic district and within walking distance of different attractions. When we return to Natchez, this is where we’ll stay.
