The price was very reasonable, and Robin made sure we were comfortable the whole time. She handles the entire property on her own and really makes you feel at home. My wife was especially impressed with how well we were looked after. A great little stop on the way to Denali National Park, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The room had everything we needed after a long day driving or hiking, and the bathroom was clean. There’s a coffee pod maker, microwave, and fridge in the room, too. The bed was super comfortable, and the owner was such a lovely person. The place has loads of character. We stayed last week on our way toward Fairbanks, and it was a welcome spot to rest. The hospitality was amazing.

The setting was so peaceful, with forest all around and lovely mountain views. Robin was a very friendly hostess, and I really enjoyed spending time with her. She does all the work herself, though, and I hope she gets some help soon. The rooms are cute and cozy, with very comfortable beds, strong WiFi, a TV, refrigerator, portable fans, and a private entrance. We had clean bedding, extra towels and bedding, laundry bins in the room, and more than five power outlets. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and had all the essentials. Free parking and breakfast were included, and laundry is available too. All this for a much lower price than staying around Denali Park, which is about an hour away. This place is a hidden gem, and I highly recommend it. The older photos really don’t do it justice, so have a look at the photos I attached. I had a wonderful stay here on vacation, and it exceeded what I expected.

The room was clean, the beds were made, and the water pressure was fine. That’s usually a problem for us when we stay in hotels on the drive from Fairbanks to Homer, so this was a nice surprise. After having such a good evening, our group of 17 decided to stay overnight, and the room worked out perfectly. We ate here on a Saturday around 6 p.m. and had a long table by the bar. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the food, drinks, and service were amazing. Once the rush was over, the owner joined us for a drink and put on great music we picked. The Fireweed Roadhouse felt like a home away from home. Hard to find a better place right on the highway.

Valerie was really sweet and friendly, and she keeps the inside of the property in good shape. The sheets were clean, and her muffins were delicious in the morning. My friends and I found it a great place to relax, and I’d happily stay again if I come back to Alaska. When I first pulled up after booking through Airbnb, I was a bit creeped out by how remote it felt. This is Alaska, though, so I expected that, and there was data coverage. The cell tower is right beside the property if you’re concerned about losing signal. The nearest gas stations and restaurants are many miles away. It’s about 45-50 minutes from some great hikes in Denali National Park and an hour from Fairbanks, where there are more food options. If you’re in the area, make sure to visit the North Pole. It’s a cute place to see.
