Thomas and James made an early departure easy by putting together a breakfast bag for me. I only stayed one night, in the quiet, private, comfortable Cherub room. The place was cozy and immaculate, just right for a short visit. Even with a 6 degree evening, I turned off the heat and stayed comfortable. I’d highly recommend Country Hearth and hope I can come back for a longer stay.

The house and its history are remarkable, and the location is great for enjoying Lancaster and the surrounding scenery. We had a relaxing, comfortable Valentine's weekend, with a spacious bedroom, jacuzzi bath, and fireplace. James and Thomas have thought of lots of details, from the homemade vegetarian breakfasts to afternoon cookies and drinks available around the clock. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated, and there are plenty of books and board games, plus a shared fridge and freezer. We’ll be back!

James and Thomas were attentive to all the little things that made us more comfortable, and were such enjoyable people to talk with. My wife and I happened to be the only guests at the inn that weekend, so we had the place to ourselves. The service felt personal and was incredible. We had a wonderful stay and plan to return whenever we can.

The food was out of this world, and they went above and beyond to accommodate my food allergy. James and Thomas really know what they’re doing. James opened the door and made us feel at home right away during our wonderful two-night stay. This was only our second bed and breakfast, but we’re already planning another visit this summer.

We especially appreciated the breakfast James and Thomas packed for us on the first morning, since we had to leave early for a wedding. Breakfast the other mornings was delicious too. The house was cozy, well organized, and easy to relax in, and we wished we’d had more time to try the many board games. Our hosts made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. A charming bed and breakfast for a lovely two-night stay.
