The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed, so it really felt like home. We even got to check in three hours early, and made a grocery run to rouse supermarket to cook a meal. It was a great location for my first visit to NOLA. We had an easy check-in and checkout, and the place was spacious and clean. I'd recommend Stay Alfred Hibernia to friends and family, and plan to stay again on my next visit.

We had six people in the two-bedroom condo, and there was plenty of room. Getting around the city was easy from this location, and we found parking nearby without much trouble. Loading and unloading were simple, too. The cleaning could use some attention: our place wasn't ready until almost 3:30, and it felt rushed. There were marks on the walls, dirty dishes, and no laundry soap. Those issues didn't spoil our trip, though. I'd stay with StayAlfred again.

We used Uber often, but the St. Charles trolley is right there, and the other lines are only a few blocks away on Canal. The nearby trolley can be noisy at night, so light sleepers may want earplugs; it didn't bother me. The suite itself was lovely, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and lots of daylight from the windows. You're two blocks from Canal Street, and the road the building is on becomes Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. For food, Daisy Dukes is a few blocks away for breakfast, and there's an IHOP on Canal. I wouldn't bother with Mother's, the food wasn't good enough to justify the time or cost. Luke's is around the corner and has 75-cent happy hour oysters; its shrimp ettoufaye was fabulous. There's also a nice Thai place just a couple of doors from the entrance. We ate on Frenchmen Street at 30° over 90°, where the 50-cent happy hour oysters and fried fish trio with catfish, shrimp, and alligator were really good. Alligator was my favorite, and there was live music while we ate. The atmosphere felt unlike the rest of the French Quarter, so check out the street if you can. We went to the aquarium and definitely recommend Preservation Hall. For sports fans, Manning's is south of the building, closer to the river. It's a sports bar owned by the Manning family, with a big outdoor screen, so you can order inside and watch a game on the patio. Have a great time in New Orleans!

The rooftop pool and upper deck are worth checking out, especially at night when the views are fantastic. This place is bright, clean, spacious, and practical, and it was quiet after dark since it's a few blocks from Bourbon and Canal on a less busy street. The kitchen worked for simple meals, the closet had plenty of hangers, and having a washer and dryer was handy. Key pickup and drop-off were easy. If you get there before check-in, the Stay Alfred on Factory Row has a front desk and luggage storage. The staff were gracious and helpful. Anthony spotted us confused outside looking for the entrance, then walked us to the desk and storage. He turned a frustrating moment into a warm New Orleans welcome.

The apartment was clean, felt very secure, and was amazing for our first trip to New Orleans. We could walk to all the attractions. The streetcar noise was a bit annoying, but otherwise we had a great stay and would come back.
