The Cornstalk Hotel

Our first-floor room was tiny but comfortable, and we got an amazing deal through one of the hotel apps. The location was fantastic and really felt like old New Orleans. There were a couple of drawbacks: we couldn't control the room temperature, though it happened to be okay that night, and it felt a bit like staying in a friend's guest room. We could hear people talking at the front desk from bed.

My brother suggested this hotel, and I'm glad we took his advice. It was gorgeous, the room was incredibly clean, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. The staff were about as nice as they could be. We'll stay here again next time we're in New Orleans.

The bed was so comfortable, and the rooms had that quaint, distinctly New Orleans feel. The history of the hotel is pretty cool too. There's a small coffee bar, plus a fantastic coffee shop next door. Right in the middle of the French Quarter, it's easy to come and go, and you can leave your car parked safely there for a small fee. The staff are friendly. The only thing that bothered me was a street musician playing outside late at night, though we expected some noise in New Orleans.

The hotel's history is lovely, and the courtyard is a relaxing place to sit and people-watch. My one complaint was the shower: the water pressure was very low, and finding a comfortable temperature was a real challenge. Still, we're happy we chose to stay here.
