Comfort Inn JFK Airport

I’d read reviews saying the hotel wasn’t good, but my experience was good. My room on the 3rd floor seemed new and in good shape. It was 32 outside, and I tried setting the air conditioning to 76; the temperature felt good. The shower water also got hot quickly. Maybe some rooms have issues, but mine was very good. So far, there’s been plenty of street parking and no police. Before speaking, I have a good experience with this hotel.

Delta got me a room here at the last minute when my flight was delayed. It’s very close to the airport, and the customer service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and they even checked to see if I was comfortable.

After driving over 6 hours to New York, we spent nearly an hour waiting in the lobby, only for the hotel to reject our reservation. We’d booked using a valid employee discount rate, but they refused to honor it, likely because they get bookings at a higher rate. Management handled the whole thing in an incredibly unprofessional and frustrating way. It wasn’t the treatment we expected.

The woman who checked me in late last night was so kind, and after a long journey that really lifted my spirits. She was still there welcoming people when I left in the morning. That night shift can’t be easy. I hope management gives her a promotion.
