Corona Hotel

Parking was really convenient, as long as you don’t have an oversized vehicle. If you’re a smoker, this is the place for you. The rooms smelled great.

The bathroom and shower were in good shape, with strong water pressure, and the vinyl plank flooring was a nice change from carpet. Our king room was clean and spacious, though the air freshener was a bit overpowering. The AC was cold and powerful, but easy to adjust. I did notice a few cigarette burns on the bedding. The elevator was small but quick, and the basement lobby had the desk behind security glass, which felt a little odd. We arrived late after LGA flights were badly delayed. The hotel was reasonably priced, close to the airport, and easy to reach by rideshare. It looked a bit seedy at night, but seemed relatively safe; most of the guests we saw were Hispanic.

The hotel was very clean, which I was happy about. I can’t say the same for the service from the woman who helped us on October 30th and 31st. She was unprofessional.

There were lots of places to eat within walking distance, and the train was only a few minutes away on foot. The street had plenty of businesses and vendors, which actually made me feel safer since it wasn’t dark and deserted. The hotel is close to Laguardia airport, and my room and bathroom were clean. Check-in was easy since I’d prepaid. It’s not a high-end place, but it works well for an overnight or weekend stay. NY hotels are expensive, but this was the best reasonably priced option I found that wasn’t run down. The price was the only downside, and I’d stay again. I was pleasantly surprised.
