Global Luxury Suites at Hanover Square

The building is falling apart, and management is mediocre. During my 15 months living here, I don't think more than one elevator to the upper floors was working for more than two months total. Sometimes the wait was over five minutes, and on the top floor you have no choice but to wait. The hallways also get extremely hot and humid in summer. Our studio with an alcove had a floor AC unit that barely cooled the apartment, let alone the alcove. It would reach 78° or higher in summer, which was miserable. The floor in our unit was peeling up with sharp edges. The outsourced package room had awful hours, closing at 5:30 on weekdays when many people are still at work. We had to call to have packages moved to the doormen, and they often forgot, leaving our things basically held hostage by those hours. If you work 9-5, getting your packages is nearly impossible without a hassle. Carl and Rome, the doormen, deserve a shoutout. They were always helpful and greeted us with a smile, which made living here at least tolerable. I don't recommend this place.

I've lived here close to five years. UDR's admin office can be a pain sometimes and fine at others, but the people working in the building are the real bright spot. Carl and Rome always greet me with a smile and show that they care. Carl especially has such cheerful energy, like I imagine Santa had before going into gift delivery. Vaz, Raj, Rome, and Carl all help me feel safe and welcome. They do more than their jobs, and when I walk in, it feels like coming home to family. Thank you, guys. UDR and the tenants are lucky to have you!

We feel at home here, and the staff are really friendly. The apartments are clean and spacious. It's quieter than much of the city, with the water and seaport district close by, and all the major subways are convenient.

I'd definitely recommend 10 Hanover Square. The front desk staff are what make the place stand out: friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Rome and Carl deserve a special mention. They're fantastic with residents and greet everyone with a great attitude.
