Holiday Inn Express LaGuardia Airport

Cynthia really went out of her way to get us into a room early. My husband and I had booked at the last minute for a wedding at 11 a.m., arriving at the hotel at 10, even though check-in wasn't until 3. Without her help, we'd have had to get ready in the lobby bathroom. The room was clean and spacious, and we had a great stay. I'd definitely come back.

The rooms were small but clean, and there were plenty of extra towels in the bathrooms. Breakfast had several choices, including fresh-made pancakes. The elevator was a little odd because it kept adjusting itself as we were getting on. Still, it was a good stay.

The bed, service, and staff were all really great. The room was nice, the bed was good, and the shower was spacious, though the large communal pump bottles for shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel felt odd. In winter in NYC, the tiny lotion bottle could stand to be bigger. The shuttle runs once an hour and takes 10 minutes to La Guardia. Staff were helpful. Food has to be ordered for delivery, though there's a small snack area for odds and ends.

The shower in my second room didn’t work, and that room was just as noisy as the first one, despite my explaining that I was traveling for work and needed to take Skype meetings. I had to move again to use a working shower, and nobody even apologized. Breakfast had around 30 dishes, but not a single vegan option. This was a horrible stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, especially for business travel.
