M Social New York Times Square Hotel

The staff’s parking tips have been useful each time I’ve stayed here. Parking in NYC can be stressful, and they take the time to point out nearby options and share practical advice. The Security Team is also professional, attentive, visible, and welcoming, which helps me feel safe and comfortable. Axel Garcia has been outstanding on every visit. He’s friendly, accommodating, and makes me feel welcome as soon as I arrive. M Social Hotel in Time Square NYC has become my regular choice when I’m in New York City. It’s well located, clean, stylish, and has an atmosphere that captures the city’s energy. I highly recommend it.

The view was honestly stunning, though we paid an extra $100 for the deluxe room, so it was what we expected. The location is good, right by Broadway and Times Square, but the hotel entrance is deplorable and easy to walk past without realizing you’ve arrived. It also felt overpriced. They took $250 from our $500 deposit, which came as a surprise because it hadn’t been mentioned at check-in. Our room smelled musty and damp, probably because the bathroom ventilation wasn’t good. There were no slippers or hand soap when we arrived. On the second night, the safe stopped accepting its password for no apparent reason, which made it feel unreliable. We had to call security late at night or the next morning, and that was tedious. For two days, the room wasn’t serviced because we slept in and got up around 11 a.m. We called the front desk five times for housekeeping, but nobody came. When someone finally arrived just to bring towels, they left the whole set on the bathroom floor. They didn’t acknowledge it when we brought it up, saying, “you should’ve been in the room.” We were told the room hadn’t been serviced because “you left a piece of clothing on the bed,” which seemed like a very sketchy excuse.

The lobby and lounge had a great vibe, and there were plenty of quick breakfast places and dinner spots within walking distance. The location was great for getting around on foot and close to the subway. We spent four nights at M Social, and the room was really big by NYC standards. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in the city.

There’s a free safe for passports and money. We didn’t try the bar, but it looked nice. At check-in, we had to pay $100 per night, so we handed over $400 right away. We got it back pretty much straight after checkout. There was also $183 in tourist tax, and I asked if they could take it from the $400 deposit. After booking, I read reviews about a supposed “scam” involving a $500 charge for smoking in the room, which made me nervous during our stay. Nothing was said at checkout, and we hadn’t vaped or smoked, so I probably didn’t need to worry.
