Oasis Motel in Brooklyn

The bathroom was relatively clean, but the sheets were dirty and had burn marks, and the towels seemed questionable. It looked like housekeeping rushed through the room and barely cleaned it. Maybe adequate for a very short stay, but given what we found, I wouldn’t trust this place for an overnight stay.

Oasis Motel is a men’s shelter now, no longer a motel. The people running it have turned it into a five-star place for homeless people. It’s completely clean, with courtesy and respect everywhere. The rooms are clean, there’s air conditioning, and the beds are changed every day. I thank Lord Jesus for bringing me there. It’s a blessing from God, a step toward a better place, and I know you’re working with me, Lord. Thank you, Jesus.

At around 3 a.m., someone started moving all the furniture out of the room next to us. We could hear people asking whether they wanted one chair or another, then banging and crashing as if they were taking apart a bed and hitting it against the wall. Otherwise, the hookers were all very nice. We even left them White Castle burgers to help them keep their energy up. They all seemed very busy. I’d recommend this motel to my ex-girlfriend because she’s a lying trashbag.

Don’t believe the hype. The main clientele here seem to be hookers and their Johns. Whoever gave this place an excellent review either works here or owns it. You’d probably be safer sleeping on a park bench somewhere. SMH.
