Seton Hotel

The room AC rattled loudly through the night, which was a nuisance, but I still had a very pleasant stay and would return if I needed a bed in the area. The decor is current and appealing, and the bathrooms, especially the showers, were clean and modern. Staff were helpful and let us leave our bags before check-in. The elevator has an odd way of operating, so ask the staff how it works unless you want to accidentally ride up and then back down. For me, the friendly staff and decor were big reasons to come back.

At Seton Residence, the Studio Basic room worked well for me. I liked having a private entrance and a comfortable queen-size bed, plus a smart TV, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. There isn’t much in the way of kitchen equipment, but a shared kitchen is available. It’s also conveniently close to Grand Central Terminal and plenty of places to go. A cozy stay.

The elevator was a new experience for me since you have to open its door by hand. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear people talking, though it didn’t bother me much. For such a low price, it’s a good deal: the staff are nice, the room looks stylish, and there’s free coffee and tea in the morning, plus a vending machine and ice. Great for a short stay.

I was a little unsure about sharing a bathroom, but it was clean every time I used it. The room and bathroom were both quaint and tidy, and the staff were all very friendly, especially Melissa. When my husband mentioned I’m a big Gossip Girl fan, she put together a list of spots to see and gave us precise directions. We picked this affordable hotel for a two-day getaway and were glad we did. It’s within walking distance of Grand Central Station, Time Square, and other attractions. I’d stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for an economical option.
