The Kitano Hotel New York

The location was convenient, near Grand Central Station, and on a quieter side of town. The rooftop bar is a must for its spectacular views and cocktails, and we also enjoyed the on-site breakfast. Our room had a nice view of the Empire State building. It was clean and comfortable, with quality linens, robes, slippers, and a bidet we loved. Complimentary in-room coffee, wifi, and two bottled waters each day were nice extras. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Thanks to the Prince Kitano team for a wonderful visit to NYC. We’d definitely stay again.

The room was on the small side compared with what I’m used to, but it worked fine for me on my own. I had a great view of the Empire State Building, and the bathroom had a bidet, which was pretty cool. The heated towel racks didn’t seem to do much, though. Service was warm and attentive, from valet parking and the bellhop to a quick, easy check-in. The bartenders in both the lower-level restaurant and rooftop were especially kind. The hotel was very clean, with great bars and restaurants and excellent rates. It’s a lovely boutique place. I’d recommend it and stay again.

We stayed here after a few days at the Knickerbocker, and this was a much better experience. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and polite, and the lobby and dining area were comfortable. Our room was a good size, with TVs that support HDMI. The heated washroom seat and bidet were a plus, and we had a great view of the Empire State Building.

The restaurant downstairs had lovely design, service, and dishes, and our room was large, very clean, quiet, and had a nice view. Staff were attentive, kind, and incredibly accommodating. The hotel has been updated while still respecting the building’s history, with substantial, quality finishes throughout. It’s beautifully designed. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it.
