Walker Hotel Greenwich Village

We were excited to stay here as a family but unfortunately couldn’t make it. Even though we still had to pay, the staff went out of their way to help me, and their kindness meant a lot. The hotel is beautiful, and I’m looking forward to staying when I get another chance. New York has always held a place in my heart. People say the city is full of rude people, but that hasn’t been my experience. The staff were extraordinary, especially Mr. Jaden.

The staff made us feel welcome, and the location was convenient for exploring the city. We had an amazing honeymoon stay at the Walker Hotel. It’s stylish and cozy, and our room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The food was delicious too. We’d absolutely return and recommend it to couples or anyone looking for a great hotel experience.

Nadia at reception kindly let us check in at 2 PM instead of the standard 3, and the Society Café team were attentive and polite. The staff’s warmth and professionalism were a real bright spot. Walker Hotel Greenwich also has a fantastic Manhattan location near NoMad, the West Village, and lots of places to explore, and the property is beautiful inside and out. The room didn’t match the rest. It was very small and needed maintenance: dusty surfaces, broken window handles, and worn chair covers were noticeable, while the decor felt a little dated. At an average of $500 per night, it fell short. Our $25 Society Café credit wasn’t applied to the final bill, though that wasn’t a major issue. A fair price would have been around $350 per night. We still had a great stay thanks to the team and location, but the room condition and cost didn’t line up with our expectations. My 2-star rating is for those issues; the hospitality from the Walker Hotel team deserves 5 stars.

The menu wasn’t very friendly for gluten-free or dairy-free eating, so breakfast was hard and we had to order in. The rooms were also quite dark, which made doing my makeup difficult. Still, the Walker hotel is gorgeous and very aesthetic, clean and well looked after. The staff were so kind and accommodating. That’s why I gave it four stars instead of five.
