DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark Ohio

We got married in Newark, OH this past weekend, and we're so glad we chose the Doubletree. We stayed there, along with most of our family, since we came from Columbus and some relatives were traveling from out of state. The staff were so kind, and our rehearsal dinner there was amazing. The front desk was always helpful and kept checking whether we needed anything. They even left a gift in our suite. They kept us warm through a very cold, wintry weekend and made it a wonderful stay.

I hadn’t been to the area for about a year, so I booked online and didn’t contact anyone I knew from my past work with the DoubleTree in Newark, Ohio. Annette spotted my name on the day’s guest list and put together a thoughtful gift for my family and me. That kind of attention really meant a lot. Taylor at the desk was just as memorable. She took care of cancelling my Monday booking when the weather got bad, then remembered our conversation when I arrived Tuesday. The ground-floor Starbucks was a handy place to work and catch up with a few old friends. Kendra, you’ve got two wonderful people on your team. I’m jealous.

Taylor was so kind and helpful when I needed to get in early to change for a job interview. Everyone was welcoming, and the lobby cookies were a nice bonus. I’d stay here again.

The bar and restaurant inside the hotel made a convenient place to have a bourbon before heading across the street to the concert. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were really friendly. It’s diagonally behind the Midland Theater, which worked perfectly for my show there. I’d recommend it, especially if you’re going to the Midland Theater and want a drink beforehand.
