The location is great and the people are nice, but the website gave a misleading impression. Our “suite” was a literal shoebox, nowhere near 449 sq ft. We were placed over the outdoor sitting area and firepit, where noise carried until midnight. If you need a good night's sleep, I'd avoid that part of the hotel.

Main Street made it easy to leave the car parked and walk to the town's bars, restaurants, and shops. Our room at the Hyatt Place on Main Street in Newark, Delaware was spotless, spacious, and nicely decorated, with plenty of storage. We also had fun relaxing over drinks at the Green Mansion Bar. The delicious breakfast buffet was another highlight, and the warm, upbeat staff there put a smile on everyone's face. When we come back for a University of Delaware football game, we'll stay here again without a doubt.

The bar staff were really friendly, and we had a great time at our holiday party here last year. Dinner was delicious, too. Parking off the street made things easy since I didn’t have to hunt for a spot on Main Street Newark. The elevator opens right into the lobby, with the bar and dining area connected. I hope we can have the party here again this year.

Breakfast was really tasty, and I liked being close to so many good places to eat. We only stayed one night, but the room was great and very clean, and the staff were friendly. The bed was mostly comfortable, though the pillows felt too soft for both my husband and me.

The bar was a great place to wind down, with a lovely atmosphere and service. The whole hotel felt spotless, fresh, and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and it was clear the staff take pride in keeping it that way. The towels and linens were noticeably good quality, too. We absolutely loved our stay at Hyatt Place Newark / Main Street and can’t wait to return.
