The Firehouse

Mrs. MARIA, who grew up in Italy and used to own an Italian restaurant, cooked breakfast each morning. The common area had $2.00 beers on tap, and there was free morning coffee, freshly made or to go with a kureg. Our room’s climate controls worked perfectly, and it had a marble bathroom. The place was clean, cozy, quiet, and very relaxing despite being right on the main drag. It’s become my new favorite.

Our family and friends, six couples in all, rented the whole beautiful property. Having a separate room and private en suite bathroom for everyone was great, and the common area gave us space to cook, play games, and spend time together. Restaurants, bars, shops, and more were all walkable. We’d absolutely stay again.

The Firehouse Inn was a lovely place to spend the Christmas holidays with my husband. Our room was nicely decorated and extremely clean, and the location made it easy to explore the heart of Newport. The friendly innkeeper made us a delicious French toast breakfast before we headed off on our travels. Highly recommend.

Randy, the innkeeper, couldn’t have been nicer, and this morning he made everyone biscuits and gravy with fresh fruit at no extra charge. It was out of this world. My wife and I had come for a night out while the grandparents had our kids for a sleepover. The room felt high-end, like a five-star hotel. Next time I travel, I’ll look for another inn instead of a typical hotel. Good luck finding one this nice!
