The bed was comfortable, with nice fluffy pillows, and the room itself was nice once we were past the entryway and bathroom. We enjoyed the heated indoor pool and sauna, but were disappointed that the hot tub wasn’t working. Breakfast was good, with waffles and convenient items to take along. There weren’t any eggs or other hot foods besides waffles. The location was fantastic, close to everything we wanted to do, including the beach, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. But the room didn’t quite match our expectation of an ocean view. We could really only see the ocean from an angle, so it felt more like a partial view. The door had a regular key handle with no deadbolt or latch, which made us uneasy since it was just me, my mom, and my four-year-old niece. The entryway was dirty, the bathroom could’ve been cleaner, the washcloth was stained, and one towel fell apart when we tried to use it. We enjoyed the stay and would come again, though we’d want a more secure room.

OYO had only one room left and managed to fit us in for our honeymoon, which felt meant to be. By then the last three hotels on our trip had been horrible, so we weren’t expecting much and just needed somewhere to sleep. I could’ve cried at how perfect it turned out. The view from our room was breathtaking, the room was beautiful and spacious, and the staff were wonderful. We absolutely loved our stay, and we WILL be back. Thank you so much to the staff!

The room had what I think was the best ocean view on the property, and the birthday welcome made it feel extra special. My husband had contacted the hotel before our trip, which he surprised me with, and they left a handwritten card, fresh flowers, and chocolates for us. The staff were kind and thoughtful, and you could tell they’d made a real effort to make the stay memorable. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Newport.

The partial view from our second-floor room was nice, and the waffles were good. Breakfast was late, though it sounded like the person handling it had been called away. The room felt picked up rather than properly cleaned. The floor corners were gross, and the remote was too sticky to touch until I got wipes. There was even a piece of red hard candy stuck underneath it. For my birthday weekend, the stay was just OK.

For this part of Newport, the price is lower than I expected for what you get, so it felt like good value. We were treated well at check-in and offered a free upgrade to a room with an unrestricted view of the beach below. I hadn't realized that was an option when booking online through Booking.com. Management has also been making some nice improvements, including new paint and carpets.
