Econo Lodge

The double queen room was large and really clean, and the bathroom was spotless. The staff were friendly and professional, and when we asked for an extra blanket, it arrived right away. Check-in was especially welcoming and accommodating, so I had no complaints about the service. We were surprised by how comfortable our stay was. The Holiday Inn Express with free breakfast was booked, so we took a chance here, and I'm glad we did. It's dated, and the memory foam bed took some getting used to, though that may just be me. I gave the location five stars because Newton was where we wanted to be. What you get at an Econolodge depends on who's running it, and this one is run well.

Rakesh and the staff were outstanding. The owner treated me with kindness and respect, and went far above and beyond for me. Everyone was friendly, and the rooms were clean at reasonable prices. I know other motels in this area and the surrounding areas, and none compare. I very much enjoyed my stay at Econo Lodge in Newton NJ and definitely recommend it. Thanks to Rakesh and his staff.

We weren't happy with our stay, especially for the $200 I paid for one night. The room was dirty, with stained pillows, used furniture, no carpet, cobwebs on the lights, and a bathroom that was one big walk-in shower. The maid service man was nosey and creepy, watching us leave for a walk. When he knocked at exactly 11 am to hurry us out, we weren't ready yet. There was no breakfast and no bathroom in the lobby. I couldn't even finish making coffee before the woman there rushed me for my room key. After I'd handed it over, we waited in the lobby for our ride, and about 10 minutes later she came asking when it would arrive. It felt like she was pushing us out. The service was rude and unprofessional, and management seemed poor. The stay was nothing like the website. Very disappointed. I'll never stay here again, and the place should be shut down.

The water was terrible, the room wasn't cleaned, and nothing was restocked. This is absolutely the worst motel I've ever seen. If you like prison, come visit. Save up a little more and stay somewhere else!
