Best Western Summit Inn

The room seemed recently renovated and was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable, and it wasn't too noisy to sleep. Breakfast was included from 7:00-10:00, and checkout was at 11:00. There was free parking right outside the door, with no parking pass needed, and the location was convenient. Room service was available for wake-up and final cleanup calls. The systems need some changes, not just the furniture. Toilet water kept making noise, especially overnight. The washroom fan sounded like a tank when switched on, and the light and fan shared one switch. The old room fan was also extremely loud, but without turning it on there wasn't enough air coming in. Breakfast drinks were limited. The coffee tasted like water, according to my buddy. I don't drink coffee or tea, so I wish they'd offer hot chocolate as another hot drink, even powdered mix would be fine. I appreciated that hot water was available in the dining area 24 hours a day.

The kids were very happy. I picked this hotel for the indoor pool and adjoining rooms while we celebrated my grandson's birthday with family and a couple of his friends. They got to swim and play video games in the room, which worked out great.

The first part of our stay was great, and my family and I enjoyed it. We were there for about 12 days, but around day 9 the manager became rude and insulting. She said we'd be put on a DNR list for staying too long, even though they had allowed us to stay. She also claimed that because we'd been in the room so long, they "couldnt properly clean room". The manager insulted me and said our body smell was making the room smell because there wasn't proper circulation. I was disgusted by how we were treated during those last 3 days and felt so uncomfortable that I recorded every interaction from March 9th, when I first spoke with the manager, through checkout. It's a one party consent state. I also filmed the room when we left to show it was no different, and actually cleaner than rooms people stay in for one night. I asked if I was on the DNR list. The manager said he couldn't tell me until they'd checked the room and seen how much cleaning it needed. It was the same as any other room, if not a bit cleaner, as my video showed. I'm really disappointed. Avoid this place if you're staying more than 3 days.

The location was good, the hotel was clean, parking was easy to access, and breakfast was good. It's served from 0700-1000. The staff were friendly. I gave 3 stars because they don't clean your room until day 4. There wasn't any body wash or soap in the room. When we asked at the front desk, they told us to come back after our trip to get soap. We did, but then they said soap wasn't available. They didn't even take out the trash.
