Holiday Inn Express & Suites Niceville Eglin Area, An Ihg

We were in a quiet, relaxing area, but still close enough to Destin’s attractions and beaches. The hotel felt welcoming and was clean and comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff who made us feel at home. Our room was well maintained, and the atmosphere was peaceful. My family stayed at Holiday Inn Express Niceville for five nights and six days during our Destin trip, and we had a wonderful time.

Tina made check-in easy and took great care of me. She was friendly and even upgraded me to a room with a water view. The place was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and parking was plentiful with no extra charge. Breakfast was good, and the pancake machine was fun. I’d happily stay again. Keep up the good work! :-)

The internet was out for a long time after someone apparently hit the pole, possibly while drunk. On a major holiday weekend, that’s a tough situation for any staff to handle. The young women working when we checked in at 4 stayed composed and kept smiling, even with some guests being difficult. They did a great job. Hats off to them. 👏🏿

We booked this hotel for the pool, but it was drained and nobody told us. We even added a checked bag just to bring the kids’ swimming things. At check-in, they said our booked room wasn’t available, then still wanted to charge the same price for a smaller room, even though the other room was cheaper and bigger. We’d been nice about accommodating their mistake, so that was upsetting. The rollaway bed was dirty too, and we had to buy cleaner to wipe it down. We weren’t told about the pool or the room change. We always choose Holiday Inns, but this one fell so short that I don’t want to book again.
