Hampton Inn Niles

I've been coming back regularly since stumbling on this place on New Year's, and I love everything about it. Julianna at the front desk is on top of everything and gives top-notch service. Andrew is a delight to nerd out with, Matt on night audit is a treasure who puts up with my annoying shenanigans, and Jess makes the best breakfast, especially the waffles, and creates amazing art. The rooms have always been clean and tidy, though I don't make much of a mess. It's close to whatever you might need: Speedway is a 30-second walk, with Walmart and Culver's down the street, plus Dollar General and Martin's. It's all nearby, and the staff are more than willing to help. I can't praise the place enough. ♥️

The room was spacious, but a flying bug got in and we couldn't catch it. One bed's sheets were dirty, so I called the desk. The overnight guy brought up clean sheets and said no other room was available. I called again in the morning and was told housekeeping would “capture” the bug. We asked to have the room cleaned, but when we got back that night, no one had touched it. The night clerk could only apologize when I called again. We checked out the following morning. I told two women at the desk we'd had a horrible stay in a dirty room and asked them to comp one night or put points in my husband's Hilton account. One asked me to email photos of the dirty sheets, saying she'd send them to the manager. I did, but we haven't heard from general manager Amy Reilly and received neither a free night nor points. We won't return, and we skipped breakfast because we didn't think the environment would be clean.

After heavy snow, the parking lot was well cleared. The ground-floor room was clean, fairly quiet, modern, and had good furniture and security. Breakfast offered a good mix of hot and cold choices, and the staff were attentive. There are plenty of dining spots and brewpubs nearby. I'd stay again.

Courtney made check-in feel warm and welcoming. She was awesome with me, and I can't say enough good things about her. I'll definitely return to this diamond in the rough Hampton Inn.
