Howard Johnson by Wyndham Norco

I booked two nights, February 28th-March 2, online through booking. Com. When I arrived, I was told I’d be upstairs. I explained that I have had 3 back surgeries, one knee replacement, and need surgery on my other knee, so I couldn’t use the stairs. When I asked about an elevator, the man rudely said there wasn’t one, only stairs. My boyfriend asked whether there was a downstairs room, even if it cost more. The little Indian man said he’d check, but after five minutes, when we asked if he’d found anything, he said no and told me he had canceled my reservation. I asked for proof and he said to call booking. Com. I did, and they said it hadn’t been canceled. I’ve been dealing with this for several days, and the money still hasn’t been returned to my account. I highly recommend staying somewhere else.

It’s in a convenient spot just off the 15 near 91, with good food options nearby. Polly's Pies is almost close enough to walk to, and it’s a great choice for country-style, down-home breakfast and atmosphere. The area is quiet and safe, the rooms are clean and nice, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A great value for a place to stay.

I left a night early, and the man on site assured me I’d get a refund for the night I didn’t use. It never came. When I called the manager, he was very rude and berated me. He wouldn’t give me his boss’s contact information so I could try to sort it out kindly and professionally. All I wanted was a refund for that unused night. This was extremely unprofessional. I’d give zero stars if I could. I’ll dispute the charge with my bank and contact the owner.

The rooms are awful and not worth coming here for. It’s a horrible one-star motel with one-star people running it, and way too expensive for what you get. You’d probably be better off at a Motel 8 at best, or the Extended Stay across the street. I asked about the local pool and bar, but kept getting directed to the pool that was closing in a couple of hours. He made a point of telling me it was about to close. I was asking about the pool bar, and even made gestures, but she didn’t understand. Pool game. Anyway, the service was horrible.
