Hampton Inn Norcross

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Norcross for three nights over Thanksgiving with our family. The first night was good: the room was in good condition, and the firm, comfortable bed let us sleep well. After Black Friday shopping the next night, my children said something had bitten them. We found small ants on the bed and around the nightstand, then kept finding more until we’d killed about ten. We didn’t feel we could sleep there. I asked the front desk to move us. They had no similar room available, so moved us from the fifth floor to a smaller first-floor room. The quality was noticeably lower, but we didn’t want to spoil the trip and tried to stay positive. We slept poorly and started the next day tired, though we still tried to enjoy ourselves. When we came back afterward, the room hadn’t been cleaned and the towels hadn’t been replaced. These problems made the stay very disappointing. I hope the hotel takes them seriously so other guests don’t have the same experience.

10/13/25: Hampton Inn in Norcross is my favorite place to stay when I take foodie road trips to eat around Duluth, Georgia. I especially recommend it to fellow Asian foodies with young kids. It’s next to Global Mall and Pappaseaux Seafood Kitchen, both within walking distance, and less than ten minutes from Duluth’s Asian dining areas and Peachtree Corner Park. The bedrooms are clean, and there’s a nice, large heated indoor pool plus a game room with a soccer table, hockey table, and more. I like looking out the windows in the fitness center, though only one of its three treadmills works, which is why I’m giving four stars. The mattresses aren’t firm, so if you have a weak back and need a firm bed, this may not suit you. I had trouble sleeping and got backaches despite all the conveniences.

I stayed for five nights with my husband and our 10-year-old son, three nights in room 315 and two in room 513. I’m spelling that out because I had severe bedbug bites in room 315, and even found a live bug on the sheet and had to kill it myself. I reported it right away. Front desk staff member Jeovana seemed willing to help my family, and I gave them a photo. They said they’d report it to Hilton and refund one night. I used points for the stay and the fifth night was free, so I wasn’t sure how much a one-night refund meant. During my last two nights, they emailed saying they’d give me some Hilton points. I didn’t know whether I should be grateful, since I’d apparently been bitten during all three nights in that room. I still can’t sleep well because of the itching and keep applying Benadryl. At checkout I asked about the issue and the points again, and they said they’d be issued in one day. That was last week, and I’ve received no points or update. I emailed again last weekend with photos of the bites and heard nothing. They’re now terrible and gross, and I can’t wear a tank top or even short sleeves as the weather gets hotter. The laundry machine was in terrible shape too. If you find bedbugs, you need to dry all your clothes, but the only dryer in the laundry room was the last thing I wanted to use. I’ve never been bitten by bedbugs at another hotel. This has been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

The location made getting here easy, right off the interstate, and Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen is just next door, which was a big bonus for me. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay at the Hampton Inn in Norcross. From arrival, I felt welcomed by the warm service. The front desk agent was especially friendly, professional, and helpful, making check-in easy and offering good suggestions for local spots. My room was spotless, fresh, and well maintained, with crisp linens and well-stocked amenities. Every detail felt cared for. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Norcross, and I’ll definitely come back.
