This place is noisy, with the train and fire station nearby. The rooms smell, service is bare minimum, and the customer service is rough. My room was disgusting, with roaches, a bathroom that smelled of cigarette smoke despite my non smoking booking, both stove burners left on, and ashes on one of them. There was also a dirty, used plastic rug in the tub. The beds are wrapped in plastic, and they were very uncomfortable and noisy. I changed my kids’ bed because there was a strange stain on the cover, then swept, mopped, and wiped down the kitchen and bathroom myself. The room was spacious and the location was good, but the office doesn’t open until 11am. If you’re locked out or need to pay in person, you wait until then, even though a late fee is charged by 12. People have jobs and can’t spend the morning waiting. There’s nobody to complain to. When I told the desk attendant about the smoke smell, she said, “well you’ve been here a while” with a nasty attitude. She did offer to move me, but I didn’t see the point if all the rooms were disgusting. This is the second red roof property I’ve checked into that was filthy. -10/10.

The room was okay, and the staff were alright in the few brief interactions we had at check-in, when asking for a blanket, and at checkout during our weeklong stay. But there were roaches, and blankets weren’t there at first. The heater didn’t work in December, and noise from the nearby fire station and train was constant, sometimes several times an hour. Thin walls let every outside sound through. Each night the TV switched on by itself at exactly 9:27 PM. The bathroom had problems too. On the first shower, dirty black-grey water came out, and black dirt-like material came from the sink. The shower had no curtain, and both the toilet and sink were very low and uncomfortable to use. The sink and tub drained poorly.

Ms.Tanya made us feel like family after we got off the bus from the West Coast. We stayed a couple of months and settled in fast. I miss the old crew, especially Johnny and Que. If they were still there, we probably never would’ve left. The manager was exceptional, and the one or two other residents I spoke with were pleasant. Everything is accessible from here, with lots to see and do. After my Mom passed, I moved back to Gwinnett in 2022, and getting used to it again has been an adjustment, though not too bad. Kudos to Ms.Tanya!

The area was peaceful, but the room was extremely dirty when we arrived, and there were too many bugs. They don’t keep up with the rooms. I had to move three times before getting a decent stay. The front desk woman gave my family and me a hard time and showed no compassion. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN!

The rooms were filthy and full of roaches, and probably bed bugs too. In one day I had to move through three rooms after killing more than twenty roaches. I reported it to management several times and told Tonya I had bites on my legs, but she was rude and dismissive and never dealt with it or followed up about pest control. Staff also got argumentative when I asked for maintenance or clean linens and towels. They washed my towels and put them back in the same trash bag I’d brought them in while they were dirty. The fridge kept freezing over and leaking. If I hadn’t fallen on hard times after a near death injury and had a charity paying for the stay, I would have left after the first night. AVOID THIS PLACE.
