For the price, the stay was fine and mostly quiet, and the room was generally clean. We didn’t see any bugs or roaches, which had worried us before we arrived. There was a marijuana smell in the room, though, and our TV didn’t work. A neighbor was making a lot of noise, but in the middle of the night staff knocked on our door and said we were the ones being loud. You get what you pay for.

We felt safe, and the room was clean. But the bed was definitely a full, not a queen, and even the two of us, neither of us big, could barely fit. The blanket was just two sheets put together. That’s about it.

Dear Motel 6 Guest Relations Team, I’m asking for a formal review of the Motel 6 on Oakbrook Road in Norcross, Georgia, and a written response about what happened during my stay. I would also like you to consider a refund or adjustment for the charges and room conditions. My family and I were moved between three rooms at this location. In one, air conditioning units were stacked beside the bed, leaving no proper space for my dog’s crate. The rooms lacked basic amenities like a refrigerator and microwave, yet the nightly prices varied, with weekend rates over $100. I was also charged $30 per hour for staying past checkout. I found that excessive, and it wasn’t clearly explained beforehand. Together, the changing rates and extra fees caused financial stress and confusion. Management said I couldn’t extend my stay because rooms had to be cleaned three to four times each week. I was told to leave my belongings unattended in the room while that happened, which made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. The most upsetting incident involved the manager taking pictures of my son and accusing us of leaving dog waste in the designated dog area. My dog was sick and had diarrhea, which I explained. Photographing my child and handling the accusation that way felt invasive, inappropriate, and humiliating. These room changes, inconsistent and excessive charges, missing amenities, and treatment of my family left me feeling unfairly targeted and possibly discriminated against. The experience caused significant emotional distress and disappointment. Please investigate the location and its management practices and respond in writing to these concerns.

It was decent, honestly. I was there for work, and I’m a white girl. I had no problems, met some nice people, and it was very quiet.
