The staff were informative and kind, and the rooms were decent and clean. Breakfast is free, dogs are allowed, and there's a really nice dog run. The dog fee is $30 a day, capped at $150 for longer stays. The fence needs replacing, though. A German Shepherd jumped it and broke part of the fencing. There were cigarette butts scattered around the grounds, but for an aging motel from the 1960s, the place is otherwise well kept. I enjoyed my stay apart from the dog attack, and I'd come back.

The spacious rooms were dirty when we arrived. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and the floors were dirty too. Reception said no cleaners were on site. The receptionist offered to clean it herself but couldn't do so right away, so we were given cleaning supplies and had to clean the bathroom ourselves. We couldn't use the kitchen during our stay. The booking showed and listed an oven, but the kitchens had since been remodeled and the ovens removed without any notice. There were no utensils, mugs, glasses, plates, bowls, or pans either. Reception said nothing else was available and gave us a few disposable cups, bowls, plates, and utensils. We also had to ask for more bedding and towels, and there were several roaches in the room. I wouldn't recommend booking here.

The beach is only a few steps away, so this is a great bargain if your trip is mainly about sitting by the ocean. I had an oceanfront room with a little kitchen, just right for me and my two kids. The room was nice, the staff were lovely, and we had breakfast every day while I made meals in the room. One heads-up: in the busy season, they sometimes run out of pots and pans for kitchen rooms. Bring your own if you can, or call ahead to ask how busy it is. We'll definitely be back.

We came back to see the staff, who feel like family. Everyone here is committed to hospitality and makes you feel at home. I especially enjoy talking with Kristina and Mrs. Patty at breakfast. Their kitchen is clean, they pay attention to guests' needs, and Kristina always suggests great places to visit around town. I value her friendship. Van at the front desk is kind and helps with whatever accommodation you need. She even checked that I could get a late checkout so I could spend more time with my daughter. Alashia was helpful too. I hope I've got her name right, Carla, the day attendant, was wonderful. She helped arrange things I didn't know were possible and sorted out our coffee dilemma. There's coffee and water in the lobby, and she makes time for everyone. She also clearly respects her staff and values them. Shannon from housekeeping is kind and hardworking, and I enjoyed talking with her as well.
