We stayed in Jenny's room on our wedding night, and it felt so romantic. The beds were plush and comfortable, and Wendy and her daughter were very accommodating about my gluten free needs. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, perfect for sitting quietly and watching birds. I also spent the night before my wedding at Mountain View Green Retreat, got ready there, and took family photos. We'll be back soon.

The breakfast each morning around 8:30 was delicious, with hot coffee, fruit, quiche, potatoes, sausage, and plenty more. We went back for seconds and there was still lots left, and we're big eaters! The price was fair, and they gave our large group a generous discount for booking several rooms. The inn was immaculate inside and out, and the people running it went above and beyond for our family. A lovely place for a family weekend.

This is a true Victorian inn in a beautiful country setting. We had a great time by the fireplace, drinking champagne, playing games, and listening to old records in Mrs. Mead's room. I wish we'd known beforehand that some of her presence is still felt there. A shadow in the doorway and a touch light turning on by itself in the night were spooky. Breakfast had no meat, and when we asked how to get back to RI, they directed us toward NJ and didn't seem to know where RI was.

Eight of us stayed at the inn while we were in Norfolk for our son's musical piece at a special workshop. Dean and Mary Jean were gracious hosts. We liked the breakfast, the people we met, and watching the finches from the outside deck. We highly recommend it.

The calm, peaceful atmosphere was invigorating, and the staff were so friendly. The rooms were gorgeous, and the breakfast was the best I've ever had at an inn or hotel. We'll definitely come back!
