Rodeway Inn

It's a basic, no-frills place for work trips around here. The rooms are a little dated but clean, and I've never had a cleanliness problem or found anything broken. Showers have good pressure, beds are comfy, and the wifi is surprisingly good. It's not super high speed, and you have to sign in again every four hours or so, but I can upload work data while talking or playing games online. There's a lot of restaurants nearby, and both hyvee and Walmart are walkable. The elevator area is a bit cramped, especially when I'm hauling extremely oversized luggage upstairs, but the elevators work. The front desk staff are nice and cooperative, and can usually put me on the ground floor when needed. Rooms get cleaned daily and everything is restocked.

I stay here often because it's reasonable, clean, quiet and in a great location. But the breakfast was a letdown this time. A busload of young people was eating, and all the hot food was gone. The counters were messy. I told the young woman at the desk there was no hot food, but she stayed at the computer or on her phone. I went back upstairs to finish packing, and when I came down there was still no hot food. The young man who checked me in didn't say a word, not even hello or which way to the elevator. I already had my ID and credit card ready. Please retrain these young people, they can do better. Thank you.

We were passing through Dodge City on our way south and stayed here for the first time. I'd read great reviews about the Road Inn, and they were right: great food, service, room and price.

After driving more than 700 miles, I just needed a place to stop. There weren't many options at 2:00am, and I wasn't expecting much. The Rodeway Inn exceeded my expectations. The front desk woman was really helpful, and the room was very clean with furnishings and decor that impressed me. Breakfast was great too. Thank you.
