The room was large and clean, and the beds were really comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and maid service came daily.

After I took off the bedding, I found a blood stain on the mattress and what looked like urine mixed with pieces of bladder tissue on its side. Before noticing it, my face had been itching, my nose was running, and I felt nauseous and itchy overall. I told Wyndham and hotel management I was sleeping on a mattress that posed a biohazard risk, but they ignored me. I recorded the conversation on video and audio and shared it on social media. I also contacted the corporate office and spoke with someone by phone, but never heard back from anyone.

For $65 a night plus tax, the free breakfast was decent: sausage, eggs, waffles, toast, orange juice, cereal, yogurt, and coffee. An early check-in at 7 a.m. cost just $10 extra, compared with the $50 some other motels charge. The room was reasonably clean, with plenty of hot water and a bathtub, though the only toiletries were shampoo and moisturizer. There were some clear downsides: broken outlets, burned-out lamps, a loud AC that kept me awake, and low-quality bedding.

Don’t stay here. I checked in and immediately checked back out. Cigarette burns covered the comforter, the shower was filthy, and the room made my throat itch and my skin crawl. There was even a plastic bag over the smoke and carbon monoxide detector. I’d rather sleep in my car.
