Value Place Charleston, SC(Leeds)

The only good thing was the great service at the front desk, but I won't be back. The room smelled bad, there was roach feces on the wall, hair in the shower, and mold around the bottom of the toilet. The hallways smelled like fish. Outside, someone's windshield had been busted out, and two cars away another car had its tires flattened. People were begging for rides, people were climbing trees, and someone was smoking marijuana.

The room wasn't very clean overall. One bed looked like someone had slept in it, and the sheets on the other bed were dirty.

They don't allow zero stars, so this gets one. The place was disgustingly filthy, from the grime in the shower and floors that seemed never to have been mopped to mildew and water damage throughout the room. There was a blanket of dust in the AC unit, and the linen looked like it might have been there since the hotel opened. And the German roaches! They greet you before guest service. Spare yourself the trouble.

I'm still staying here, and I haven't seen a housekeeper cleaning any of the rooms on any floor, during the day or at night.
