Chateau by The Sea F1 - 2 Br Condo

Our unit was clean and updated, and the property made for a wonderful beach vacation. It was quiet, with direct beach access and a pool.

E - 2 The place is right on the beach, six blocks from Main St., and having a kitchen beats staying in a hotel room. But there’s no safe for valuables, and the HOA controls when maintenance enters without giving customers notice. The storm door is broken and bangs against the wall when it’s windy. There are two or three remotes for each TV, with no instructions. The fan, lamp, and very loose toilet seat need maintenance. The property manager can only fix things during non-peak times of year? The master bedroom is much warmer than the great room, and there are too many stairs. No elevator.

The location is great, steps from the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. I’ve stayed here two years in a row for spring break. G3 was great last year, but H3 was a very different experience. The condo wasn’t well maintained, and Ocean Breeze Vacations, the management company, seemed very shady. Please google the company before renting. I’d read the Vrbo reviews and knew the condo might not be in the best shape, but the price and location made me willing to rent anyway. You get what you pay for. Document everything, or they may try to charge you for damage you didn’t cause. Chateau by the Sea is great, but check who you’re renting from, because that can make your experience much worse.

The unit and property were well equipped, and the kitchen worked well for a family that mostly eats in. The pool and its area were well maintained. Great beach view and location, though I thought it could’ve been cleaner overall. I’d consider staying again.
