The breakfast was decent, and the place seemed well kept, even if it wasn't fancy. We got in late and the only choices were a pet room or a smoking room, so we took the pet room. I couldn't notice any pet smell, though I might've picked differently if I had allergies. It was very comfortable.

I stayed in Sutherland for work for just two nights. Three months later, my wife and I realized we had a bed bug infestation. That's a miserable Christmas surprise, and now we're stuck with an exterminator bill that definitely wasn't cheap. If I need a room in North Platte again, I won't stay here. I'd spend a little extra for somewhere nicer rather than risk a repeat and another pest bill.

The worst part was finding bedbugs. When I called the front desk, the guy acted as if I was imagining it. I paid $75 for one night and left feeling gross. The microwave also didn't work, there was a slime-like mess in several places on the floor, and the toilet paper was almost gone when I arrived. Thanks for nothing.

Three cockroaches in three hours, and two were pretty big. After the third, I asked to switch rooms. The employee seemed suspicious and wanted proof, but unfortunately I'd flushed the evidence already. He said moving wasn't possible because the room had been sprayed. I wasn't after a refund, just another room, and had no reason to make this up. Cockroaches and awful customer service.

It honestly feels like a second home to me. 83 Motel=goat. I'll be back, and I'm planning to return at least once a year. Can't wait for the next stay. One of the finest places I've ever had the pleasure of visiting.
