Hampton Inn Norton, VA

I stay here during race season at Lonesome Pine Raceway, and it's a very clean, well-run hotel. William at the front desk and the woman who sets up breakfast are both good people. The rooms are cleaned well, and staff handle any issues quickly. There are restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend it if you can get a room, since they stay occupied. Have a nice stay!

I've been here almost three weeks since my house burned down, and every staff member I've dealt with has been wonderful. They're kind, helpful, and go out of their way for you. The rooms are nice and clean, and the pool is warm and clean too. It's a really nice place to stay, and I recommend it to anyone traveling in from out of town.

Check-in was perfect, and the room was nice as usual. I skipped breakfast, though it's always good. This might become our regular stop when we're in the area.

The location worked well as a base for exploring the mountain roads, and there were a couple of restaurants within walking distance. We tried the Italian place right next door, and the food was pretty good, better than we'd expected. CVS was walkable too, and parking was easy with plenty of spaces. I was on a multi-day motorcycle trip with two other riders, and we stayed in Norton for a few days. The hotel staff were all extremely nice and welcoming. When the woman at the front desk learned we'd arrived on motorcycles, she offered us covered parking by the front door and mentioned they had towels in the mornings to wipe dew off our seats and windshields. The weather and wind were good enough that we didn't need the covered spot, but it was nice to have the option. A gentleman at the front desk in the mornings, whose name I didn't get, brought us towels every day for the morning dew. Breakfast options changed daily, and we all enjoyed the variety and the two waffle makers. Rachel was very nice to talk with and kept the tables and breakfast area clean and well stocked. I'd definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.
