Days Inn O'Fallon

I rented here for several months because it was cheap and close to work, but the place left me disgusted. The first and second floors always smelled like weed, even though it's supposed to be non-smoking. The ice machine was covered in black mold, which could make guests sick, and there was black mold in the shower too, with nasty growth on the shower head. I bought bleach spray myself and cleaned them. The male staff member was always angry. I paid every day, yet didn't even get basic things you'd expect at a hotel, like towels and clean linens. It's safer not to stay there.

We really aren't picky, but we were so unhappy with this stay. We booked a jacuzzi room and found no mini fridge, just one towel and one hand towel. When we asked for more, staff gave us one and said that was all they could provide. The outlets behind the microwave and TV didn't work. They said maintenance would come, but nobody showed up. There wasn't a continental breakfast, only a paper sack with a muffin and granola bar. The sheets were thin, with no comforter. People were sleeping in the hallways because guests left the locked doors propped open. One staff member was rude, though the other guy was alright.

My fiancé and I found a bedbug in our room last night, and I took a video. Then this morning, someone let their dog be disruptive to the other guests. After 7:30 a.m. we couldn't get decent rest. Bedbugs are a hard no, and I'm terrified of bringing them home. We won't be back.

The bed was great, and at least I didn't find bugs in it. Breakfast was surprisingly good, the people were friendly, and the area didn't feel unsafe. Still, I left with a bad allergic reaction from all the mold around the bathroom, so I can only give two stars. There were roaches and black mold. The shower clearly hadn't been cleaned properly: I wiped black stuff up with my feet, and some shelves still had dust on them. The couch was covered in crunchy mystery stains.
