We booked a two-bed room online for two nights, but at check-in they put us in a one-bed room. I had to go back downstairs to get that fixed. Then in the correct room, the fridge was leaking water everywhere and didn’t work, the shower was covered in hair and I had to clean it myself, and there was green leafy stuff in the drawer between the beds. I’ve worked in housekeeping, and this is not up to code or standard. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’d like to save someone else from spending money here.

I really wanted to give this place five stars. The lobby was beautiful and the service went above and beyond. But the room was what I’d call blue waffle, with just a bed and a torn-up countertop being used as a dresser. I wasn’t expecting much, but I didn’t expect that. The place was cleaned okay otherwise, but there were no bags in the trash cans, burn holes in the wall, and what looked like blood splatter on the walls and lampshade. The AC wasn’t working, though the night was cool anyway. Hallways had a strong weed smell, and the rooms smelled strongly of cigarettes. The place needs to be stripped and cleaned. I might come back, but that room scared me straight, for real.

We stayed two nights and I’d come back. It was about what you’d expect from a cheaper hotel. The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows, towels, and washcloths. The room was fairly clean, though I found garbage in the drawers. The bathroom was okay, probably my biggest issue. The showerhead needs replacing: it leaked at the connections and had lots of buildup, though the water pressure was good. There’s a fabric liner, so water can get onto the floor, especially with the shower spraying everywhere because of the buildup. There was a spider in the bathtub, but I didn’t see other bugs. Other reviews were right that the side doors were propped open. One night there was a lot of commotion in the hall, but that was more the guests than the hotel, and it didn’t go on too long. The stairways were definitely dirty. I wouldn’t walk there barefoot, and the smell makes it clear they allow pets. I was in class all day and mostly just came back to my room. I wish breakfast started earlier, since I had to leave before 7 am.

The hotel promised us a refund after we refused to stay and found another place, but the refund never came. We booked for our move, and the whole thing was a nightmare. At the desk they tried to charge us $160 per night over our online rate until I showed them my reservation. The rooms were filthy. The first had couches stained with what looked like body marks, splatter on the walls, and appliances covered in food. In the second, there was hair in the bed, dirty sheets, and a floor that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. This place needs a health inspection and a complete overhaul. Save your money and your health. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

After one night, I had to leave because of several safety hazards and advertised services that weren’t available, making the property unusable for me. The smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling with exposed wires, a serious fire safety concern. The TV outlet and cables were detached from the wall, loose, and not working, which also felt unsafe. The room was booked specifically for an advertised kitchenette, but there wasn’t one. The business center I relied on as a business traveler didn’t work either. Soon after checking in, I developed a severe red and itchy skin reaction. It seemed like the room hadn’t been sanitized to basic health standards. I took photos and reported the problems to the property, but they couldn’t offer a safe, functional room or a suitable alternative. I don’t think I should be charged for a stay that failed basic safety and habitability standards. Please refund me to my original payment method.
