Outbound Yosemite

There are cabins next door as well as hotel rooms, and the place is beautiful. Renovations are underway right now, so it isn’t up and running yet.

The free EV charging was a nice extra: they have two Tesla chargers and one standard Level 2 charger. Our room was clean, well maintained, quiet, and had a comfortable bed, so we got a refreshing night’s sleep. The morning breakfast was great, and the employees consistently gave excellent service. It’s close to Oakhurst restaurants as well as the South Gate to Yosemite National Park.

The location near Yosemite’s south entrance worked great for us. The main registration and common area is very nice, and the evening wine, fruit, and cheese gave us a good chance to meet other travelers. Breakfast was very good, with a variety of choices. Our room was private and had its own bathroom, with some nice bed-and-breakfast amenities. Renovations were going on, but we barely heard them during most of our stay. It’s quaint, though I wouldn’t call it luxury. For a bed and breakfast, it may be about what you’d expect.

The room was clean and not small, and the service was decent. Breakfast was simple and nice (see attached photo). I stayed for a few nights to visit Yosemite National Park (YNP), and have a few thoughts. The nightstands and washbasin area were tiny. I also wish more of the surfaces around the hotel, including the parking lot and the entrance by the main road, were paved. With so many more visitors to YNP and the long line to get in lately, the place doesn’t feel as close to the park as it used to.
