Comfort Inn & Suites Oakland

The rooms were clean and really nice, and the front desk staff had me laughing. I could watch the World Cup on the TV because it had soccer. Parking and WiFi were included, which was great. The hotel was hard to spot from the street, and the neighborhood felt a bit sketchy. One elevator could use some maintenance. It’s old, but I felt safe using it.

We chose Comfort Inn & Suites and were glad we did. Our rooms were comfortable, spacious, and clean, and we were checked in and on our way before long. We got there very late after a long day of travel, riding the complimentary airport shuttle. The front desk clerk warmly welcomed us and asked us to make ourselves comfortable while she helped another family find a room for the night. Their reservation at a different hotel had apparently fallen through. She was kind, mindful of how late it was, and helped everyone as quickly and efficiently as she could.

The front desk staff were very nice and helpful, and breakfast was good, with service until 9:00 AM. I stayed with my two kids in a room with a king bed and sofa bed, and both beds were very comfortable. The hotel also has a 24/7 spa, which was the best part, though the water seemed to have an issue and the facility needs daily cleaning and maintenance. If they had a swimming pool, I’d have rated it four stars.

The beds were roomy and very comfortable, especially the pillows, and the room was spotless. It was spacious and came with useful things like a desk, outlets on the bedside lamps, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and plenty of clean fluffy towels. Getting here from Oakland airport was convenient, check-in was quick, and the grounds and lobby were well cared for.
