Oak Mar Motel

The attached restaurant is a real plus, especially at breakfast. The motel itself is affordable, with excellent rooms, and makes a great place to stay.

The second room we were given was supposed to have been remodeled, but it was dated and the bathroom was dirty, with black hairs all over the toilet and tub. The bathroom window latch was broken, and the sink water made a sound like it might blow up. We didn’t stay long enough to settle in. My husband told me to grab my things and we drove home, exhausted and disappointed. I returned the key and explained the problems to the nice woman at the desk. She apologized, but we weren’t given a refund. We’d booked online for Saturday 11/22/25 so we wouldn’t have to drive back to Virginia after my husband’s family Thanksgiving dinner. After checking in, we got the key to Rm 20, which was right beside a busy, noisy main road. When we asked if there was a quieter room, the woman gladly gave us another key and sent us to Rm 37 on the second floor. I’d hate to have seen that room before its remodel. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were super friendly, which I’m not used to in New Jersey, lol. It was a little pricey, but the location worked well for my vacation. Definitely recommend it.

The staff at Oak More Hotel made my stay memorable. They were kind, friendly, and accommodating throughout, and I was thoroughly impressed by the experience.
