I arrived at 4:00 PM on 5/7 and the room still wasn’t ready. After they finished cleaning, I went in and it looked like a crack house. I checked out half an hour later, at 4:30 PM. I’d already prepaid $100 a night, but I’d rather lose that money and sleep in the rental car than stay here. Don’t stay here under any circumstances.

The room at least didn’t have bed bugs, but there were two baby roaches, and I’ll be disinfecting for cockroaches when we get home. We only stayed because we were exhausted. I even called Priceline to ask them to remove the hotel from its list, though I don’t know if they did. The bathroom was filthy: the toilet barely flushed and had poop under the seat, and the floor mat was still wet from someone else’s shower. The carpet felt gross underfoot and was bubbled up, with grime all over the place. The replacement linens had holes and stains. The manager brought clean sheets when we asked, but they didn’t fit the bed. He also gave us two new pillows still in plastic, but no pillowcases. I went looking for pillowcases and expected to find clean linens or toiletries in the laundry area. What I saw there appalled me. This place seems like a work in progress with nobody in charge of the basic things a hotel should handle. Don’t stay here.

A bed bug came out after I’d been lying there for five minutes, so I slept in my car. The bedding was stained, the pillows were extremely flat, and the pillowcases looked dirty. Disgusting. Never again.

We had to ride out the storms there, but as soon as it got light we booked it. I’d say sleeping in your car is safer if that’s the choice. The whole place was filthy, with greasy fingerprints and grime on everything and disgusting floors. There were uncovered holes in the walls by the AC, a horrible smell, no light fixtures, and outlets that kept popping. I was praying nothing would catch fire while we were there. The owner knows about these conditions and should have offered a full refund. I’ll report the place to the right people and make sure something is done before others end up in the same situation and lose money. Nobody should have to pay to stay somewhere like this. Even someone desperate for a place to stay shouldn’t be put through it. Please take this warning seriously and don’t stay here.
