When we got to the room, the toilet rocked like a chair, there was no shower curtain, and the pullout sofa was broken. One of our group called for towels and was told there weren’t any. The woman at check-in was very nice, but the owner or manager and customer service were rude, so I wouldn’t recommend this place. I’d booked three separate rooms by phone at the start of July, then called a week before our stay to confirm because two people in our group never got email confirmations. They only had two of my three reservations, even though they’d taken all the information, including my card number, when I booked. I asked them to fix it since we needed another room for our group, but the woman refused, and I had to pay full price for an additional room.

The property manager KImberly and her staff took great care of me and made sure I had what I needed. The renovations have made the hotel look very nice, and the pool was a real plus. I had it all to myself the other day. My one mishap was that there was no microwave.

The staff were nice at check-in, but I had a horrible stay. There was fighting all night, and people upstairs stomping around kept me from sleeping. In the room, the sheets were dirty, the floors sticky, there were bugs, and the bathroom smelled awful. I had to sweep the room myself. The toilet paper holder was missing, hot water took 10 minutes to come through, and I found a huge spider under the dresser and another in the bathroom. Please read the reviews, they’re true. I’d suggest staying at Microtel hotel or somewhere other than bedtime inn. It may cost a little more, but it’s worth it.

The thin walls made it hard to sleep. I could hear people talking as if they were in our room, and around midnight one night I had to call the front desk to ask the people next door to turn down their TV. It just wasn’t a comfortable stay. We also had problems with housekeeping. One morning, while I was showering and my husband was out around 8:00 am, I put the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the floor. It was there about 15 minutes. We left around 9:00 am and returned at 11:00 pm to a room that hadn’t been touched, with no fresh sheets or towels. The desk said the sign was why the room wasn’t cleaned, even though I’d been told the cleaning staff worked from about 8:00 to 11:00 am. They were off for the night, so the desk brought clean linen instead. On another day, the bed had been made when we got back, but the sheets still had sand from the day before’s beach trip. The staff were polite, and the room looked clean at first, but the furniture was old and the room smelled musty. We knew it was “no frills,” though there were issues beyond that. There were only three pillows, and when we asked for another because my husband and I each sleep with two, we were told they limit rooms to three since people had stolen pillows before. On most nights, people near our room were smoking when we got back late from the beach. They looked a little creepy. We won’t stay here again. I guess you get what you pay for.
