The place was filthy when we checked in. There was old food in the dishwasher, grime on the floors, oven, and microwave, and the toilet seat had urine and feces on it despite the sanitary strips. The tub jets were black inside. I had to scrub them and run bleach tabs through three times before my daughter could bathe, and the showers were dirty too. They list units on Airbnb and other sites under Aubrey, but the office said there was no Aubrey. I’d planned to stay at the Villa with my kids through the snowstorm and even considered adding nights. I asked for $190 back, just what I charge to clean a two-bedroom, two-bath condo in Ocean City, and was refused. They told me to contact them only through Airbnb and not to come back to the office. This was a nasty stay, and I have photos to show it.

Everything was neat and clean, and it’s an easy walk to nearly anything we needed. The location and amenities seem well suited to families on a summer trip. We’re looking forward to trying the outdoor pool tomorrow. The indoor one is a good size, but the chlorine seemed incredibly strong, maybe the most I’ve encountered. Even with my eyes squeezed shut underwater, I couldn’t see much.

A good spot for a long weekend. Every unit has a hot tub, which I loved, but book the two-bedroom lockout if you don’t want to share it with strangers.

Our first-floor condo at Ocean Villa was a clean, pleasant place to stay for Country Calling in Ocean City. It had two bedrooms, two baths, and room for six, including the pullout couch. There’s a pool, tennis, and pickleball on site. The main drawback was hearing the person upstairs moving around so easily.
