Dunes Court

We thought we'd found our place to stay in OC, but after getting home I saw an extra $100 charge on my card on checkout day, on top of the $350 nightly rate. The card details had been keyed in manually. I've spent days being passed around, and nobody can explain the charge or offer a refund or credit. I definitely didn't give my card for anything except the room, so I'll have to dispute it. Back to square one.

The beach is so close, parking was plentiful, and the pool was great. My husband, our daughter with Down syndrome, and I stayed four nights in August 2024 during the white marlin tournament. We were pleasantly surprised by how clean the rooms were and how exceptionally friendly and helpful the staff was. We enjoyed it enough to book six nights for this coming August. I can't say enough about this place. Highly recommend.

We usually visit Ocean city and have stayed at the Dunes manor in the past, but this was our first time here. There were no complaints from us, and we look forward to returning. The rates were reasonable for the area, and the property was great for the price. The room was clean and had what we needed, with plenty of parking and a nice pool. It's steps from the boardwalk and beach, right at the end of the boardwalk in the heart of mid ocean city. There are lots of shops, restaurants, and other things to do nearby.

We were in room 206 and left on August 3rd, cutting our stay short after a fire in the middle of the night. About four rooms down from us, to the right of the stairwell, smoke was coming from a room. We heard fire and a couple shouting to see if anyone was there or working. Nobody was in the office or answering. Firefighters came briefly, said it was electrical, and acted like it was nothing. No smoke detectors went off. The smoke came through the couple's vent, and they had to be moved. We left because we didn't feel safe with our epileptic four year old, especially after the manager said it wasn't that bad. Fire and smoke are bad. The manager refused a refund, so they kept our hard earned money. We will never return, and I hope others are warned since this was kept very hush hush. I'm sure others have dealt with faulty electricity too.
