For our 10-year remission celebration, the Flander's Hotel made the whole event feel as important to the guest-of-honor as it was to us. The Garden Room had plenty of space for food, tables, and dancing for our 60ish guests. They offered lots of recommendations and centerpieces, along with thoughtful extras: packing our things into boxes and taking them to our hotel room, free access to a mic and bluetooth connection for music, and helping distract our guest-of-honor so we could get into the room first and yell surprise. It was an emotional milestone, and the staff went above and beyond. From the first planning steps to the event itself, everyone was incredible and communicative. Molly and Lisa from the banquet department made planning much easier, answering my many emails and questions quickly and thoroughly. On the day, Joanne, Wilbert, and John kept everything on time and running smoothly, with a clean space, fresh and replenished food, and good cocktails. The food was delicious, with lots of choices. If you’re planning an event, reach out to the Flanders ASAP. This was a remarkable experience from start to finish.

Dessert was the highlight for me. I had the Cranberry Apple Pie and Bread Pudding, both were so good, and I even took a cookie to go. We also got to chat with the chef who made all the desserts. The main course was delicious, with turkey plus ham and sirloin at the carving station. I filled my plate with Hawaiian Sweet Potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce, turnips, and carrots. There was chicken and salmon too, but I was too full to try them. The salads were fresh, and I had the Ceasars. The appetizers and soups were just so-so. We came for Thanksgiving dinner, not an overnight stay. It was our first visit, with nine of us, and the hotel lobby looked beautiful and very Christmasy, and felt welcoming. Getting upstairs was a bit of a puzzle: my husband and I took the stairs after trying the elevator, which had a 2000-pound limit but wouldn't take all nine of us one floor, even though I know we didn't weigh that much together. The second floor was crowded, with people waiting in uneven lines to confirm dinner reservations and pay before entering. There were two separate lines, but that wasn't clear until we got near the front. Most groups had four or more people, with each person or couple paying separately. Our four couples and one single were all trying to pay against one reservation. Once we'd paid, we waited tucked along the wall so people leaving could get by, until someone escorted us to our table. The two adjoining dining rooms were full, but not too noisy, so conversation was easy. We had a wonderful time despite the confusing start, and we'd come back.

My oceanfront room was huge, with a great view and a kitchen stocked with everything I could imagine: a toaster oven, microwave, fridge, dishes, and silverware. At Emily's, CherylAnn was an awesome waitress, and the French onion soup is to die for. I also had the turkey club with sweet potato fries, which was soooo good. From the minute I walked into the Flanders, the experience was amazing. Kyle, Heidi, and Linda were so helpful and accommodating. If you're in Ocean City, NJ, please stay here. You won't be disappointed. Thank you, Flanders Hotel, you rock!

After a four-hour drive, our trip was going badly from the start. We'd booked a different hotel, and things there were awful, so we urgently needed somewhere to stay for the night. Aneda was working at the front desk and moved quickly to see what she could do, even though her role limited her options. She made us feel cared for and took the time to ease our stress. That kind of genuine concern is hard to find. So much service can feel scripted or superficial, but Aneda felt like a real person who truly cared. My fiancee and I think of her as the heart of the Flanders Hotel. We had to share what she did for us. Our love, Dalton and Jasmine.

Had breakfast there 11/28/25. The dining room was lovely and the food was very good. One waitress was serving many tables while they were short-staffed, and still gave everyone an excellent experience. She was a wonder.
